Three Different 'Modi Operandi'

About the Multiframe Thin Client OS:

The client OS can be installed and configured in three different ways (called 'classes').
MultiClient, MultiDiskless and MultiProxy.

MultiClient
In this configuration, the MF Client OS is downloaded (from the Multiframe Administration Server) and installed to the client's local hard disk. For each subsequent boot, the operating system is started from the local HDD.

MultiDiskless
There's an option to either ignore any local hard disks, or use a client without a hard drive. At each boot the OS has to be downloaded, but since the size will be between just 30MB and not more than 60MB it shouldn't take too long to have the client up and running. The OS image will be downloaded from the Multiframe Administration Server, or preferably from a local MultiProxy Client (read on...)

MultiProxy
A MultiClient Multiframe Client with a hard disk can do double duty both as a thin client, and as a local OS image repository for nearby clients. This way, clients in a remote location will not have to use a limited bandwith to connect and download OS images and/or configurations from the central Admin Server.
